Dr. Malvar-Villaflor’s journey in dermatology started at the University of the East - Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center, where she earned her Doctor of Medicine degree and completed her internship. She didn’t stop there—she went on to complete a residency at the Skin and Cancer Foundation, Inc., where she really dug into the science of skin health.
In her quest to stay ahead in the world of skincare, she furthered her expertise with a fellowship in Anti-Aging and Cosmetic Dermatology at the Korean College of Cosmetic Surgery & Medicine. This added a whole new layer of advanced techniques and knowledge to her already impressive skill set.
Dr. Malvar-Villaflor’s credentials are a testament to her dedication. She’s a Diplomate and Fellow of the Philippine Dermatological Society, and a member of several other international dermatological societies. Her affiliations reflect her commitment to excellence and staying at the cutting edge of dermatological care.
She’s not just about credentials, though. Dr. Malvar-Villaflor has worn many hats throughout her career, including serving as a Hospital Administrator and now as the Chairman of the Department of Dermatology at Dagupan Doctors Villaflor Memorial Hospital. She’s also a Visiting Consultant at Region I Medical Center and holds various consultancy roles.
Dr. Malvar-Villaflor’s research efforts keep her at the forefront of dermatological advancements. Her recent study on electromagnetic field stimulation is just one example of her dedication to pushing the boundaries of skin science.
Her achievements haven’t gone unnoticed. Dr. Malvar-Villaflor has received numerous awards and recognitions for her work, including being an instructor at various workshops and speaking at prominent dermatological events.
